Advanced Tactical Tracking Based on Freddy Osuna’s Index Tracking Method

Host or Schedule Advanced Tactical/Combat Tracking — Level 2

Greenside Training’s Advanced Tactical/Combat Tracking Level 2 is a mobile, field-based program available to military units, law-enforcement agencies, border-security teams, search and rescue organizations, conservation officers, anti-poaching teams, and other qualified groups.

The course develops the individual and team skills required to locate, pursue, assess, and recover highly evasive subjects operating in wilderness, rural, border, and mixed-terrain environments. Students are evaluated throughout the program and rated among their peers in observation, interpretation, decision-making, fieldcraft, communication, and team performance.

Course Formats

• Two-day core course: 16 instructional hours
• Three- to five-day advanced program: Expanded field problems, longer tracking lanes, specialized mission applications, and optional tactical exercises
• Prerequisite: Tactical Tracker Level 1 or comparable documented tracking experience
• Organizations without prior training may request a combined Level 1 and Level 2 progression.

Training may be customized for border operations, missing-person searches, fugitive recovery, intelligence collection, conservation enforcement, anti-poaching, environmental terrorism, force protection, or agency-specific missions.

Host Requirements

The host organization should provide:

• Suitable classroom or covered briefing space
• Authorized outdoor training terrain
• Parking, restroom access, and emergency-support procedures
• A local coordinator and appropriate site permissions
• UTVs, side-by-sides, horses, mules, drones, or K9 teams when their integration is requested

Student lodging, meals, transportation, and personal field equipment are not included unless specifically stated in the proposal. An optional live-fire component may be offered only when approved in advance and conducted at an authorized range under the instructor’s direction.

Scheduling a Course

To request training, provide:

1. Preferred dates and location
2. Number and experience level of participants
3. Desired two-, three-, four-, or five-day format
4. Agency mission and training objectives
5. Available terrain, facilities, and supporting assets
6. Whether K9, drone, mounted, vehicle, low-light, or live-fire integration is requested

Greenside Training will evaluate the location and provide a customized proposal covering curriculum, schedule, instructor support, equipment, pricing, travel requirements, and host responsibilities.
